Lynn Thonet Gross is an American fiber artist and costume designer known for combining traditional techniques with modern technology for impactful performances.

Lynn formed an interest in sewing and crocheting with her family while growing up in Oklahoma. She holds a BFA in fiber from the Kansas City Art Institute where she learned to weave and dye. After working with The Milkman Collective and Black House Collective in Kansas City, MO, Lynn went on to get a master’s degree from California Institute of the Arts. Recent projects include: Seamripper (Co-director), Oblivious (Zheng), Hamletmachine (Hashimoto), Ocean of Milk (Co-director, Prague Quadrennial), CobbleFuckStoneTown (Kim), I Have a Big Name in Eternity (Harris), Situational Snafus/Black Lab (Quinn), Not Universally Sacred (The Milkman Collective).
